MCKINNEY -- Mindi Leann Drake of McKinney and Jeremy Curtis Vandagriff of Anna were united in marriage at 6 p.m. July 7, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in McKinney. Dr. James Puckett, of First Baptist Church, McKinney (retired), officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Drake of McKinney. Grandparent is Patsy Drake of McKinney. She graduated from McKinney High School and is currently attending the University of North Texas at Denton. She is employed by the Plano Independent School District.
The bridegroom is the son of Helen Vandagriff and the late James Vandagriff of Anna. Grandparents are the late Maggie and Emzie Towery of Bonham and the late Dortha and H.G. Vandagriff of Whitewright. He graduated from Anna High School and is currently attending the University of Texas at Dallas. He is employed by Plano Independent School District.
Attendant for the bride was Lori Drake, sister of bride, of McKinney, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cara Switch and Jennifer Elder of McKinney, Eleanor Andress of Dallas and Shana Aultman and Crystal McCartney of Celina. Junior bridesmaid was Kalli Spurgin, cousin of bride, of McKinney.
Bell ringer was Koby Spurgin, cousin of bride, of McKinney. Alex Phillips, nephew of groom, was ring bearer.
Best man was Jared Clifford of Denton. Groomsmen were Brian Pratt, Issac Villa, Ryan Kriechbaum and Matt Ellis, all of McKinney and Will Smith of Blue Ridge. Junior groomsman was A.J. Phillips, nephew of groom, of Anna.
Ushers were Cody Bell and Tom Taylor of McKinney, Daniel Clifford of Denton and Adrian Zambrano of Allen.
Candle lighters were Daniel Clifford of Denton and Tom Taylor of McKinney.
Wedding music was presented by Carolyn Fleming of McKinney, pianist, Belinda Spurgin, aunt of bride, of McKinney, soloist, and Nick Eason of McKinney, guitarist.

The bride's parents were hosts to a reception held at the Hurricane Creek Country Club in Anna following the ceremony.
The couple will be at home at Anna after a wedding trip to Canada.
The groom's mother and Deneen and Albert Phillips were hosts to a rehearsal dinner July 6 at the Brazos Steak House in Allen.
