Jones - Stephens wedding
Natalie Jones and Doug Stephens both of Sherman were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 30, 2001 at the Harvest Time Church in Sherman. Rev. R. James Shupp of Fairview Baptist Church officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Pam Jones of Sherman. Grandmother is Nadine Burkhalter of Ector and honorary grandmother is Bettie Whitehead of Ector. She graduated from Sherman High School and Grayson Community College and will graduate from University Texas at Arlington in the spring of 2002.
The groom is the son of Gary and Joyce Stephens of Sherman. Grandmothers are Umyrle Patterson of Amity, Ark. and Merle Stephens of Sherman. He graduated from Sherman High School and Grayson Community College and is employed by Sunset Mortgage Company in Arlington.
Attendants for the bride's sisters, Amy Beth Jones of Nashville, Tenn. and Emily Jones of Antioch, Tenn.
Flower girls were Cassidy and Alicia Hall, cousins of bride, of Ravenna.
Andrew Benge of Sherman and Derrell Hall, cousin of groom, of Ravenna, were ring bearers.
Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Chris and Cary Stephens of Sherman.
Ushers were Casey Hall of Ravenna, Preston Burkhalter of Savoy, Ritchie Patterson of Denison and Adrian Jones of Nashville.
Scripture reading was provided by Marilyn DeYoung of Pottsboro.
Wedding music was provided by the Four Seasons Stringed Quartet and Steve and Beth Weeks of Sherman.
A reception was held at the Holiday Inn following the ceremony, with the families of the bride and groom as hosts.
Reception assistants included Marilyn DeYoung of Pottsboro, Heather Bell and Joyce Adams of Sherman, Mishael Bertrand of Pottsboro, and Judy Hall of Ravenna.
Wedding coordinator was Affairs of the Heart.
The couple is at home in Arlington after a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico.
The groom's parents and extended family were hosts to a pre-wedding Texas party June 29 at the Fairview Baptist Church Activity Center.
