Sasser -- Hodge
LEONARD -- Amy Michelle Sasser and Danny Len Hodge, both of Sherman, were united in marriage Sept. 22, 2001 at the First United Methodist Church in Leonard. Rev. Sam Campbell officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Sasser of Sherman. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Myers of Sherman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Sasser. She graduated from Sherman High School and is employed by I.H.S. of Sherman. For the ceremony, the bride wore her great-grandmother's wedding band.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hodge of Leonard. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Flanagan of Leonard, Jane Hodge and the late Glen Hodge and Weonna Davis and the late John H. Davis, all of Leonard. He graduated from Leonard High School and is employed by CrossRoads Service of Leonard.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Connie Jean Hartwig,of Sherman. Bridesmaids were Angelia Hariman of Durant, Jennifer Hariman of Gunter and the groom's sister, Meridith Hodge, of Leonard.
Flower girl was Emily Ann Hartwig of Sherman. Jereck Campbell of Sherman was ring bearer.
Bestmen were Darren and Darryl Hodge of Leonard. Groomsmen were Lee Hartwig of Sherman and Nick Campbell of Leonard.
Ushers were Phillip Hodge of Lewisville, Jared Fritz of Gunter, Dwain Campbell of Leonard and William Stephens of Sherman.
Candle lighters were Michelle Michael of Sherman and Ricky Flanagan of Plano.
Wedding music was presented by pianist, Jeanette Buchanan, of Leonard and soloist, Donnie Blacketer, of Blue Ridge.
A reception was held in fellowship hall with the bride's parents as hosts. Reception assistants included Martha Hariman of Gunter; Carol Danz of Dallas; Jean Davis of Sherman, Jennie Poe of Bonham, Melinda Campbell of Leonard and Cheri Flanagan of Plano.
The couple will be at home at Sherman after a wedding trip to Branson, Mo.
The groom's parents were hosts to a rehearsal dinner Sept. 21 at the First United Methodist Church.
