Ashley Marie Acker of Argyle married Travis James Blakeslee of The Colony on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Dr. Blair Monie, of Preston Hollow Baptist Church, and the Rev. Frank Ehman, of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound, officiated. The reception was held at the Park City Club in Dallas.
Arnold and Sharron Acker of Argyle are parents of the bride. She is a graduate of Ryan High School (1996) and Baylor University in Waco (2000), and is employed by Capital One in Plano. Her grandparents are Doris Flynt and the late Jack Winston Flynt, and Rosa Acker and the late Herman Phillip Acker.
Peter and Jacky Blakeslee of Hot Springs, Ark., are parents of the groom. He is a 1998 graduate of Baylor University and employed in human resources by AT&T Broadband in Plano.
Maids of honor were Lacey Elizabeth Clay of Dallas and Kristen Lee Stockdale of Denton. Bridesmaids were Jordan Rebecca Browning of Waco, Kristen Minnette Harvey of Denton, Shannon Lynn Herrington of Frisco, Jennifer Hillgartner Lang of Houston, Katherine Sherman Newberry of Flint, Kendra Gail Pulliam of Denton, Laura Less Sessions of Jackson, Miss., Samantha Jen Smithson of Dallas and Dana Leigh Ward of Denton. Flower girl was Alisa Faithe Oldham, a cousin from Huntsville.

Ring bearer was Luke Frizzell Kinder, a nephew of the groom from Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Lee Stockdale and Kara Kathryn Stockdale. Candle lighters were Amanda May Adams and Jessica Lynn Boyd.
