Lisa Gayle Pollard and Steven Charles Bigham were married Sept. 2 at Newtown Congregational Church by the Rev. Steve Gordon.
The bride is the daughter of Ernest and Linda Pollard of Southport, N.C., formerly of Danbury.
The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Barbara Bigham of Taunton Lake Road, Newtown.
Diane Cordeiro was maid of honor. The bridegroom's sister, Kathy Pino, Gina Romano, Cara Hulse and Jennifer Pollard were bridesmaids. Kristie Pino, Laura Pino and Karly Bigham were flower girls.
The bridegroom's brother, Douglas Bigham, was best man. The bride's brother, Scott Pollard, Jim Bowers, Brian Leavitt and Pedro Pino were ushers. Jamison Bigham and Zachary Pollard were ring bearers.
A reception followed at the Inn at Villa Bianca in Seymour.
Lisa Bigham graduated from Danbury High School and from Gibbs College in Norwalk with an associate's degree in office administration.
She is an adminstrative assistant and office technician for the Newtown Building Department.
Steven Bigham graduated from Newtown High School and from the University of Rhode Island at Kingston with a B.A. in journalism and political science.
He is a writer for the Newtown Bee.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, they are living in Southbury.
