Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smalley of Clarendon, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Smalley, to James D'Amico, son of Elaine and Vincent D'Amico of Indian Hill Road, New Fairfield.
The future bride graduated from Albion High School in New York and from the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a master's degree in elementary education. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Hawley School in Newtown.
The future bridegroom graduated from New Fairfield High School and from the University of Connecticut with a master's degree in secondary education. He is a social studies teacher at Staples High School in Westport.
A July wedding is planned.
