Saint Joseph Catholic Church in New Orleans, La., was the 4 p.m. Oct. 4, 2008 setting for the wedding of Roxanna Behgam and Andrew “Drew” Sutherland of Metairie, La. The Rev. Donald Hawkins performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Behgam, Arlington, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sutherland and grandson of Mrs. A.K. Boyd , all of Iola.
Grandparents attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. William Stevens, Arlington.
Terra Nuss, Austin, Texas, was maid of honor, and Lindsay Walker, Arlington, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lacey Sutherland, Manhattan, sister of the groom, Vanessa Behgam, Plano, cousin of the bride, Lynnette Wolfe, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Alexis Wedgeworth, Shreveport, La.
Joel Sutherland, Iola, served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Steven Neville, Olathe, Bryan Behgam, Overland Park, brother of the bride, Cody Strickler and Jason Cloud, Iola, and Trevor Yakle, Overland Park.
Seating the guests were Ryan Eisenbart, Manhattan, Derek Yocham, Colony, and Garret Mulsow, Iola.
Flower girls were Catelyn Coffin, New Orleans, and Tatum Murray and Hailee Murray, Olathe, cousins of the bride.
The couple are at home in Metairie.
Mrs. Sutherland teaches first grade at Ecole Bilingue School of New Orleans. Mr. Sutherland is employed by Landis Construction of New Orleans.
