Christa M. Boehler and Kevin R. McGinnes were married March 29, 2008 at River Tree Christian Church in Iola. The Rev. Jared Ellis performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Sherri Lowder, Denver, Colo. The groom is the son of John McGinnes, Coffeyville, and Debra and Tom Schommer of Chanute.
Christina McGinnes, sister-in-law to the groom, served as maid of honor. The bride’s sister, Shannon Boehler, and groom’s niece, Alexa Gott, were bridesmaids. Elizabeth Bigpond and Laila McGinnes, both nieces to the groom, and Autumn Hackbarth, niece to the bride, were flower girls.
The groom’s brother, Calvin McGinnes, was best man. Groomsmen included Patrick Lowder, the bride’s brother, and Hollis Grewing. Craig and Jacob Watson, cousins of the groom, Jacob Lowder, brother to the bride, and Jeremy Hackbarth, brother-in-law of the bride, were ushers. Michael Kunz McGinnes, Damion Hackbarth and Wesley Smejkal served as ring bearers.
Eric Worthington, soloist, sang during the lighting of the unity candle.
A reception followed at Elks Lake house in Chanute. Star Bigpond, Cheyenna Bigpond and Sarah Brunner served as wedding cake table attendants.
The couple are planning a honeymoon to Branson, Mo., at a later date. They are at home in Chanute.
