Pearson — Rexwinkle
Ty Warner Sea Center, Stearn’s Wharf in Santa Barbara, Calif., was the setting for the Oct. 4, 2008, wedding of Barbara Sara Pearson and Scott Anthony Rexwinkle.
The bride is the daughter of Marguerite and Bruce Pearson of Hercules, California.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Annette Rexwinkle and the grandson of Margaret Deaver and Erma and Delbert Rexwinkle, all of Iola.
Grandparents attending the wedding were Col. Thomas S. and Donna Pearson.
Marjorie Large, Santa Barbara, attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alison Thomson, Kirsten Vinje and sister of the groom Kara Rexwinkle of Topeka.
Serving as best man for his brother was Bryson Rexwinkle of Wichita.
Groomsmen were Vance Rexwinkle of Lawrence and Ryan Sparks, Iola.
A reception dinner followed the wedding ceremony at Ty Warner Sea Center.
Following a honeymoon to Paris, the couple are at home in Groveland, Calif., near Yosemite National Park.
Mrs. Rexwinkle is a graduate of Pinole Valley High School and University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a writer and journalist.
Mr. Rexwinkle is a 2000 graduate of Iola High School and a 2005 graduate of Kansas State University.
He is an aviation crash investigator for Orloff Consulting.
