Stauffer — Krug
Louise Lynn Stauffer and Nicholas Eugene Krug were united in marriage June 6, 2009, at The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence.
The Rev. Michael Lynn, Hamden, Conn., uncle of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Susan Lynn and Brian Wolfe, Iola, and Clay Stauffer and Barbara Griffin, Holland, Mich. The groom is the son of Veronica Krug, St. Charles, Mo., and the late Bruce Krug.
Maid of honor was Kelly Schetzsle, West Lafayette, Ind. Best man was Caleb Krug, St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Kelly Alexejun, Traverse City, Mich., Dana Bremner, Grand Rapids, Mich., Lindsay Metcalf, Kansas City, and Corie Dugas, St. Louis. Groomsmen were Tim Stauffer, El Pital, El Salvador, Aaron Stauffer, Northfield, Minn., Thad Allender, Washington, D.C. and Jake Harrell, St. Louis.
Flower girls were Audrey and Maris Lynn, St. Albans, Vt., cousins of the bride, and Sidney Thornton, St. Louis, niece of the groom.
A dinner and dance followed in the ballroom of The Eldridge.
The bride is a graduate of West Ottawa High School in Holland, Mich. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Kansas. She will begin pursuing a doctorate in creative writing in August from KU and is a graduate teaching assistant at the university.
The groom was graduated from Duchesne High School in St. Louis. He is a graduate of KU’s school of journalism and is a photographer at the Lawrence Journal-World.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple returned to reality in Lawrence, where they reside.
