Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Ruch of Valparaiso, Ind., and formerly of Hannibal, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on March 24, 2001.
Alberta Campbell and Robert L. Ruch were united in marriage on March 24, 1940, in Hannibal.
Dr. C.J. Armstrong officiated.
Mrs. Ruch is the daughter of the late Mrs. Hattie Campbell and Mr. Ruch is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Ruch.
They are the parents of two sons, Robert W. Ruch of Butler, Ind., and Gary W. Ruch of Valparaiso.
They have four grandchildren, Cathy Ruch of Indianapolis, Ind., Barbara Steif of Brookston, Ind., and Tina Ruch and Brian Ruch, both of Valparaiso; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Ruch lived in Hannibal all of their lives until Mr. Ruch was transferred in 1966 to the E.J. & E. Railroad in Gary, Ind.
Mrs. Ruch retired from Highland Department Store in Highland, Ind., and Mr. Ruch retired from the railroad.
