Jim and Joyce Weeks
Jim and Joyce Weeks will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday.
The couple were married at United Methodist Church in Humboldt on a Sunday afternoon.
They spent their first six months together in Iola and moved to Humboldt in 1960.
He retired from the Humboldt water plant after 32 years service.
She worked for more than 12 yeas as a senior supervisor at Movie Gallery in Chanute.
The couple have two sons, Mike and his wife, Sharon, Iola, and Steven, rural Iola.
On Sept. 1, 1986, the couple moved into their new home in rural Iola.
The house incorporated the original home of her great-grandparents, Jonn and Mary Cooper.
To celebrate their anniversary the couple plan to retrace their honeymoon.
