Olivia Newton and Joshua Hewitt wed
Olivia Newton of Bloomfield and Joshua Hewitt of Dekalb, Ill. were united in marriage on Oct. 12, 2002, at the Bloomfield Christian Church, with the Rev. Kristopher Hewitt officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Phil and Brenda Newton of Bloomfield. The groom is the son of Gary and Patricia Hewitt of Kingston, Ill.
Nicole Hentscher was the matron of honor. Other attendants to the bride were Lauren Bentrup, Jodi Bell, Emily Bollman and Jennifer Hewitt.
Gary Hewitt was best man. Other attendants to the groom were Tom Hewes, Chris Thomas, Travis Figanbaum and Adam Newton.
Music on the organ and piano was provided by Karen Spargur. Annie Frye and Chris Thomas sang "From This Moment."
Brett Darst, Jared Dearborn and Justin Maher acted as ushers. Gia Kirmse was the flower girl and Dalton Johnson was ring bearer. Other wedding assistants included Ryan and Kristy Miller as hosts and Heather Dearborn, hair stylist.
A reception and dance at Hotel Ottumwa followed the ceremony.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Davis County High School and a 2002 graduate of Monmouth College. She is employed at Sycamore Precision.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Dekalb High School and a 2000 graduate of Monmouth College. He is employed at Nicor Services.
The couple is making their home in Dekalb, Ill.
