Hasz - Shively
Meghan Elizabeth Hasz, daughter of Robert F. and Patricia Hasz of Bloomfield, became the bride of Steven Andrew Shively, son of Stan and Becky Shively of rural Bloomfield, on Aug. 14, 1999 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ottumwa.
Father John Speigel officiated the double ring ceremony.
Vocalists were Phil Norton and Beth Gravett. They sang "Butterfly Kisses," "From This Moment On," and "From Here to Eternity."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length off-the-shoulder dress with a satin bodice trimmed with tulle and sweetheart neckline. Iridescent beads adorned the dress.
Sarah Chapin of Cedar Falls was maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Kristy Guggisberg, Karly Wortmann, Jessica Fetters and Julie Meredith. They wore floor length navy blue satin dresses, off-the-shoulder, with sweetheart neckline.
Chad French of Oskaloosa was best man. Groomsmen were Stewart Shively, Scott Shively, Ricky Waybill and Jason Rook. They wore black tuxedoes with tails and navy blue vests with matching boutonnieres. Ushers were Jason Bell, Sean Ryan, Chad and Lance Hasz, brothers of the bride.
Alexis Shull was flower girl. Benjamin Spurgeon was the ring bearer.
Mrs. Hasz wore a spaghetti strap, floor length navy blue gown with matching jacket. Mrs. Shively wore a navy blue street length dress with short sleeves and white lace at the neckline.
Hosting the reception at the Bloomfield Country Club were Richard and Lynn White and Renee Martin.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Davis County High School and a graduate of AIB with as microcomputer specialist and an accounting degree. She is presently employed at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center as a computer technician.
The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Davis County High School, has completed two years of the criminal justice program and has obtained his private pilot’s license obtained through the flight training program at Indian Hills Community College. He is presently employed at Plexco in machinery set up.
The couple is residing in Bloomfield.
Out-of-town guests included Lance and Jenny Hasz, brother of the bride, from England; Chad and Michelle Hasz, brother of the bride, from Kentucky and relatives and friends from Florida, Maryland, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Arkansas.
