Goodens to observe 60th anniversary
Bob and Betty Gooden of Memphis, Mo. will observe their 60th wedding anniversary at an open house on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001 at the Milton Legion Hall in Milton from 2-4 p.m.
Robert Junior Gooden and Betty Louise Holloway were married Dec. 17, 1941, at the Memphis Christian Church with the Rev. Billman officiating.
Attending the couple were Betty’s sister Vivienne, and Mrs. Billman.
They were former residents of Van Buren County most of their lives until moving to Memphis, Mo., in 1991 after retiring from their farm in Milton.
Hosting the event will be their two children, Bobby of Fairfield and Barbara Creath of Milton; their five grandchildren, Jennifer, Robin, Jina, Jocelyn, and Ryan and their four great-grandchildren, Bryce, Rylee, Tanner and Jordyn.
Those attending are asked to send or bring pictures or memories you have of them.
