Nelson - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson of New London will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on June 5, 2004, at the New London Lions Club.
Marjorie Hayes and John Nelson were united in marriage on June 7, 1954, in Senatobia, Miss.
They are the parents of two children, John R. and wife, Paula, of New London, and Machelle Smith and husband, Jay, of Santa Claus, Ind.
They have three grandchildren, Holley Nelson, and Brianna and Chandler Smith.
Mr. Nelson retired from the Missouri State Highway Department and Mrs. Nelson retired from Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to stop by the reception after 6 p.m.
