Kimberly Martha Haggerty and Philip Charles Roy were married Aug. 4 at St. Joan of Arc Church in Hamden by the Rev. Robert Hefferan.
The bride is the daughter of William and Linda Haggerty of Baldwin Road, Newtown. The bridegroom is the son of William Roy of Twin Oaks, New Milford, and Rosemarie Roy of Middletown.
The bride's sister, Stacy Sousa, was matron of honor. Her sister, Kristin Haggerty, was maid of honor. Carla Ribeiro and Connie Curtis were bridesmaids. The bridegroom's sister, Emily Roy, was flower girl.
Bill Wood and Larry Hipp were best men. Christian Wright and Vincent Lipari were ushers.
A reception followed at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Meriden.
Kimberly Roy graduated from Newtown High School and from the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a B.S. in education and an M.A. in education/Spanish. She is pursuing a degree in graphic design at the University of New Haven.
Philip Roy graduated from New Milford High School and from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He is pursuing an M.B.A. at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven.
He is a mechanical design engineer at U.S. Surgical Corp. in North Haven.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, they are living in Hamden.
