Lisa Adele Poveromo and Sean Newman Cronin were married Oct. 27, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Ridgefield by the Rev. Robert Poveromo.
The bride is the daughter of William and Adele Poveromo of Todd's Road, Ridgefield.
The bridegroom is the son of Timothy and Rosemarie Cronin of Avon.
Samantha Kohler was matron of honor. The bridegroom's sister, Kerry Cronin, Andrea Geraci, Sara Lemieux and Jennifer Robak were bridesmaids. Laura Robak was flower girl.
The bridegroom's brother, Matthew Cronin, was best man. His brothers, Kevin Cronin, James Cronin and Timothy Cronin, the bride's brother, Michael Poveromo, and Peter Kohler were ushers. Stephen Cronin was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.
Lisa Cronin graduated from Ridgefield High School and from the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a B.S. in design and resource management.
Sean Cronin graduated from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford and from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., with a B.S. in political science. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island at Kingston. He served six years in the Navy stationed at Newport, R.I., and serves in the Naval Reserves. He is a sales engineer at Corechange Inc. in Boston.
After a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, they are living in Newton, Mass.
