Geigers celebrate golden anniversary with open house
Phil E. and Jo Ann (Moyer) Geiger of Columbia City will celebrate their golden anniversary with a dessert evening from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 12 at the Quiet Corner, 3242 E. 500 S - 57, Churubusco.
The couple were united in marriage on June 12, 1953, at the Protestant Chapel on the Naval Base in Norfolk, Va., by the Rev. Leonard. Paul and Dorothy Hohenstein were the honor attendants.
Parents of the couple are the late Robert and Lois Moyer and Carl and Grace Geiger.
Children of the couple are the late Edwina Geiger, Sally Spillers and Catherine Geiger. Their grandchildren are Megan and Danielle Spillers and Kyley Geiger-Simmons.
Phil graduated from Columbia City High School and is self-employed. Jo Ann completed her associates degree in nursing and retired from the Whitley County Hospital after 33 years.
They have lived in Whitley County their entire lives.
