Schnepps celebrate golden anniversary quietly with family
William and Elizabeth Schnepp
William H. and Elizabeth (Battershell) Schnepp, Columbia City, will celebrate their golden anniversary at the Columbia City Church of the Nazarene on June 8 with a quiet celebration with family.
The couple was united in marriage June 9, 1953, at the home of the bride in Roanoke by the Rev. Bjork.
Parents of the couple are the late Doyle and Audra Battershell and Henry and Evah Schnepp.
Children of the couple are Jim and Gloria Schnepp, Fort Wayne; Cindy and Denny Platt, Carol and Jeff Breeding-Andrews, Jenny and Brad Hartman, all of Columbia City.
They have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
William retired from Navistar after 32 years. Elizabeth is a homemaker.
The couple has lived in Whitley County for 15 years. Prior to that they lived on a farm in Roanoke.
