Orr - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Don Orr of Kinderhook, Ill., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise reception hosted by their children at 2 p.m. June 17, 2001, at the Hull Lions Club in Hull, Ill.
Annett Green and Don Orr were united in marriage on June 17, 1951, at Arch Street Methodist Church in Hannibal.
Mrs. Orr is the daughter of Velma Green of Hannibal and the late Alfred Green.
Mr. Orr is the son of the late Harry and Edith Orr.
They are the parents of five children, Cheryl Womack of Williamsville, Ill., Carol Bushmeyer of Quincy, Ill., and Darrell Orr, Dee Dee Hamilton and David Orr, all of Kinderhook. They have 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Orr is retired after 27 years at Electric Wheel and is a semi-retired farmer.
Mrs. Orr is retired after eight years at FS, is currently working part-time for Product Promotions and serves on the Arthritis Foundation Board.
They both attend all of their grandchildren's activities and sporting events.
Friends and relatives are invited to the reception.
