Nick and Jane LiaKos, Lawrence, Kan., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Mary to Robert Neal Burkey, son of Mary and Paris Wakeman and Jim and Teresa Burkey, all of Wellington, Kan.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of John and Leenda LiaKos, Oconto.
She graduated from Holcomb High School, Holcomb, Kan., in 1995 and is a 1997 graduate of Garden City Community College.
She is employed as a legal assistant with the law firm of Sharp, McQueen, McKinley, McQueen & Dodge, P.A., Liberal, Kan.
Her fiancé is a 1989 graduate of Wellington High School, Wellington, Kan.
He graduated from Wichita State University in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and is the manager of Ayr Lanes, Liberal, Kan.
A May 24, 2003, wedding is planned at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal, Kan.
