Johnson, Boucher wed on Dec. 16
The Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont was the setting for the Dec. 16, 2000 wedding of Kristen Marie Johnson and Matthew James Boucher.
The Rev. Bob Kocher performed the d ouble ring ceremony in the presence of 125 guests.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Johnson of Grand Island. Matthew is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Boucher of Valley.
Appearing on the arm of her father, Kristin wore a white traditional full-length satin dress with a full train. The high neck was complimented with tulle overlay. Long pointed sleeves, the neckline and back of the dress were adorned with several small linen buttons. The fitted Basque waist bodice was heavily beaded with teardrop pearls, pearls and sequins. The bride's veil, which was designed by her aunt, Linda Guill of Lexington, was a tiara style headpiece fully decorated with pearls and sequins on a satin background. The detachable elbow length veil of iridescent tulle was trimmed with satin overlock stitching and pearls. The bride's only jewelry was pearl earrings borrowed from her sister. She carried a bouquet of red roses, ivy and white lily of the valley, accented with white pearls and pearl hearts. The long flowing tail of the bouquet was completed with red and black satin streamers.
Maid of honor was her sister, Angela Johnson of Simi Valley, Calif. Bridesmaids included Nicole Peterson of Axtell, cousin of the bride, Sara Kranjc of Hastings, sister of the groom, and friends Lorraine Bowles of Leona Valley, Calif., and Bonnie Holland of Lancaster, Calif. Personal attendant was Betty Jensen, aunt of the bride, of Omaha. Attending junior bridesmaid was cousin of the bride, Anastasia Johnson of Central City.
The best man was, friend of the groom, Marty Steinbach of Fremont. Groomsmen were Steven Johnson, brother of the bride, of Simi Valley, Calif., brothers of the groom, Kevin Boucher and Kent Boucher, of San Jose, Calif., and Rick O'Donnell, brother-in-law of the groom, of Omaha. Junior groomsman was Phillip Johnson, cousin of the bride, of Central City and Tanner Steinbach, friend of the couple, of Fremont.
Flower girl was Alexia Klauz, cousin of the bride, of Axtell. The ring bearer, nephew of the groom, was Christopher O'Donnell of Omaha.
Guests were seated by Daniel Jensen of Omaha, cousin of the bride, and Chris Kranjc of Hastings, brother-in-law of the groom. The ushers also served as candle lighters.
Guest book attendant was Susan O'Donnell, sister of the groom, of Omaha. Programs were handed out by Patrick O'Donnell, nephew of the groom, of Omaha. Host and hostess were Roger and Laurie Johnson of Central City and Phyllis and Bob Longacre of Omaha.|
Honored guests included Mr. and Mrs. Francis Johnson of Central City and Mrs. Alice Klauz of Lexington, grandparents of the bride.
White heart and rose shaped mints, served at the reception, were made by Alice Klauz. The cake was served by Linda Guill, aunt of the bride, of Lexington and Stephanie Jensen, cousin of the bride, of Omaha.
The reception, dinner and dance was held at Love's Opera House in Fremont. Servers for the dinner included friends of the bride, Sandie Hall of Jefferson, Ore., Sue Young of Bertrand and Denise Smith of Lexington.
Mr. and Mrs. Boucher are at home in Fremont after a honeymoon cruise to the Bahama Islands.
