Brown - Crews
Karen Diane Crews and Micheal Allen Brown were married Oct. 7, 2000 at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hardy B. Sandlin officiating. The bride is the daughter of the late Margaret F. Noel and D.O. and Violet Crews of Palatka. The groom is the son of Floyd (Winkey) and Martha J. Brown of Interlachen. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with a scalloped neckline and Basque waist with organza lace, sequins and beaded appliques. The gown was designed by Gloria Vanderbilt with a scalloped hem, which flowed into a chapel-length train adorned with sequin, lace and beaded appliquŽs. The bride's three-tiered fingertip veil was attached to a princess tiara of satin flowers and pearls. Wedding music was provided by Jeannie Brown, organist and Joe Miracle, vocalist. A letter written by the bride in memory of her late mother was read by Jan Stoeffler. Debbie White served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rita Crews, Katt Baggs, Kathy Stoeffler and Cindy Sapp. Terah Robinette and Carlene Arth kept the bride's book. Floyd (Winkey) Brown served as best man. Groomsmen were Rick Crews, Josh Crews, Charlie Gibson and Ricky Crews. The reception was held at the Putnam County Shrine Club. The couple took a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C. and are planning a trip to Costa Rica in the spring.
