Murrays celebrate 50th Anniversary

William H. and Joan K. Murray of St. Augustine, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 by renewing their vows. The ceremony takes place at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine at. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Birchell of Barboursville, Va. will host a luncheon reception for the Murrays at Harry's Restaurant in St. Augustine. Mr. and Mrs. Murray were married on Saturday, Dec. 2, 1950 at St. Brigid's Church in Westbury, N.Y. William is a retired unemployment counselor from the state of Florida. Joan is a retired secretary from Flagler College in St. Augustine. The couple have two sons, William H. Murray, Jr., (wife Dee) of Palatka, and Joseph (wife) Jo Ellen) Murray of St. Augustine, and one daughter, Maureen Murray of St. Augustine. They have 13 grandchildren.
