Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Nicol of Niagara Falls celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a garden luau at their daughter's home in Bristol, Va., followed by a trip to Honolulu.
Nicol and Blanche Gough were married Aug. 21, 1954, in St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Niagara Falls.
They are both retired professors of English at Niagara University.
The couple has three children and five grandchildren.
