Mr. and Mrs. John F. Quinlivan of Buffalo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at home.

Quinlivan and Patricia M. Avolt were married July 31, 1954, in St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Buffalo.

He is a retired South Division chief for the Buffalo Fire Department.

The couple has four children and six grandchildren.
