Mr. and Mrs. James Stephens will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2001, at the New London Lions Club building.
Wilma and James Stephens were united in marriage on June 4, 1961.
They are the parents of three children, Teresa Tinsley and Lisa Chadwell, both of Columbia, and Jim Stephens of San Diego, Calif.
They have five grandchildren.
Mr. Stephens is retired from the Soil Conservation Department.
Mrs. Stephens is employed at the Hannibal Collector's Office.
Friends and relatives are invited to the reception.
