Mr. and Mrs. Ronald C. LaVere Sr. of Hamburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise gathering of family and friends in Holland Willow's Restaurant, Holland.
LaVere and Suzanne Ingalsbe were married July 31, 1954, in Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Buffalo.
He is a retired manufacturing engineer for Moog, East Aurora.
The couple has seven children, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
