Voepel - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Voepel of Palmyra will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2001, at the Palmyra State Bank Community Room in Palmyra.
Dorothy Shade and Dale Voepel were united in marriage on June 17, 1951, at the First Baptist Church in Palmyra.
Mrs. Voepel is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shade and Mr. Voepel is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Voepel.
They are the parents of four daughters, Debbie Morris of Palmyra, Diane Anderson and Darlene Pyse, both of Hannibal and Danita Rife of Columbia.
They have 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Voepel retired from Great Central Lumber Co. in Palmyra and enjoys fishing.
Mrs. Voepel is a homemaker and enjoys gardening and sewing.
Friends and relatives are invited to the open house. They request no gifts.
