Terry and Betty Marlin of Brimfield, Ill., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Marlin, to Travis Critten. He is the son of Terry and Ruthie Critten of Monroe City.
The prospective bride is a 1997 graduate of Brimfield High School and a 2001 graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange College. She will teach fifth-grade this fall at Baldwin North School in Quincy, Ill.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Monroe City High School and a 1999 graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange College. He is employed at First Union Securities in Quincy.
The wedding is planned for July 7, 2001 at Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria, Ill.
