Mathieson — Schultz
Carol L. Mathieson and Sgt. James Schultz were married March 17, 2007, in New Wilmington Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Lisa Hickman.
The bride wore a wedding gown by Lara Hélene Bridal Atelier.
In accordance with our country in wartime status, the groom proudly wore the Army green digitized camouflage pattern.
The wedding party consisted of the bride’s daughters, Shawna Medvec, maid of honor; Caroline Medvec, junior bridesmaid; and Janahlyn Medvec, flower girl.
Best man was James S. Schultz, groom’s son. Groomsmen were Luke and Blaine Medvec, both bride’s sons.
The Presbyterian Christian wedding ceremony in which all children carried a fully bloomed red rose that was placed in a large vase, allowed each child to say a prayer for the new family. A rose bouquet was then formed, confirming everyone had a role in the newly-created family.
Mrs. Schultz is a practical nurse and certified syneryon technician. The non-invasive aesthetic system is a second option for facial cosmetic surgery.
Her husband is on active duty in the 298th T.C. (Transportation Company) of the U.S. Army in Iraq, having served in Operation Enduring Freedom and currently in Operation Iraqi Freedom. A highly decorated soldier, his accomplishments include, but are not limited to air assault; advanced heavy, light wheel mechanic; NCOIC (noncommissioned officer in charge) of Recovery; four honorable discharges; AAM (Army Aircraft Maintenance) Army Accommodation Medal; National Defense Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M-Device Medal; and Military Achievement Medal.
On his safe return, the couple plans on residing in Florida.
