Rachel and Patrick Maccarelli Sr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in Tucson. They were married March 3, 1946 at Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. and have lived in Tucson for 22 years.
Their four children are Agnes, Patrick Jr., Thomas (Stella) and James Maccarelli. Their grandchildren are Patrick (Cindi), Robert (Brandy) Linda, Kelly, Rachael and baby Frankie. Their family says, “We love you and wish you all of the best on your anniversary.’

60th Anniversary
Maxie and Donald Pressley celebrated their 60th anniversary with an open house with family and friends.
They were marred Feb. 7, 1936 in Taylorville, Ill. Mrs. Pressley retired from a drapery shop and Mr. Pressley is a retired building contractor, both in Colorado.
Their children are Donald (Dee Ann) Pressley of Vail, Colo., John (Kathleen) Pressley of Tucson, Ronald (Alice) Pressley of Kremmling, Colo. and Margaret (Howard) Nathason of Washington D.C. They have 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Goodwin/Archambault
50th Anniversary
Nancy Goodwin and Philip Archambault of Tucson and Mt. Lemmon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner dance on Jan. 19, 1996 at the Elk’s Lodge hosted by their daughters. The couple will take a cruise, which will include the Panama Canal, in the spring.
They were married Jan. 19, 1946 in Winchester, Mass. She is retired from Tucson Unified School District. He is also retired from T.U.S.D. and is a self-employed psychotherapist.
Their daughters are Cela Archambault (Michael Mally) of Waterford Works, N.J., and Zoe Archambault of Tucson. Mr. Archambault’s cousin, Paul Lemire of North Fort Myers, Fla. and Sherbrooke, Quebec attended the celebration.
Witt
50th Anniversary
Rosaline (Roz) and Fredrick Witt will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Faith Lutheran Church Activity Center.
They were married March 8, 1946 at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Johns, Mich. and have lived in Tucson for 37 years. Mrs. Witt retired from the Pima County Attorney’s office. Mr. Witt is a retired general contractor.
They have one son, Robert (Judy) Witt of Nashville, Tenn., and 3 grandchildren.
Lucas
50th Anniversary
June and Willis Lucas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Tucson Botanical Gardens planned by their children and spouses.
Mrs. Lucas’ mother Ruth Billingsley of Seattle, Wash., sister Doris Russell of Seattle, brothers John (Marie) Warnick of Seattle, Thomas (Kitty) Warnick of Burke, Va., and nephew Brad (Vicki) Warnick and children of Colorado Springs, Colo., were among the approximately 150 guests in attendance.
The tables at the gardens were covered with purple clothes and glowers arranged by John Crager. The candid photography was provided by Nancy Huff.
They renewed their marriage vows on Dec. 31 at Grace St. Paul Episcopal Church with the Rev. Judy Sessions officiating.
The couple was married Dec. 29, 1945 in Sullivan, Ind. Mrs. Lucas is a retired accountant from Davis, Miller, Lucas & Buhl. Mr. Lucas is a retired civil engineer from the City of Tucson Inspection Department.
Their children are Mary Lucas (Larry Callagy) of Gilbert, Ariz., William Lucas (Gracie Becker) of Springerville, Ariz., Robert Lucas of Tucson, and the late James Lucas. They have one grandchild, Dallas Lucas.
Rice
50th Anniversary
Florence I. and Harry J. Rice Jr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with immediate family and close friends at the home of Steven Rice.
They were married March 2, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Rice is retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mr. Rice retired from Hughes Aircraft Co. Their five children are Patricia Talley of Tucson, Harry (Cindy) Rice III of Tempe, Michael (Linda) Rice of Tucson, Steven (Cindy) Rice of Tucson, and Kathy (John) Roefaro of Chestnut Hill, Mass. They have 9 grandchildren.
Limppo
50th Anniversary
Thelma and Don Limppo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception at the home of their niece, Rebecca Morley. Their daughter Sharyn (Hal) Slavens and son Gary (Phyllis) Limppo hosted the reception.
They were married Feb. 2, 1946 in Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Limppo retired as a pre-school teacher from Happy Time Pre-school. Mr. Limppo retired is retired from Bill Breck Dodge. Their 3 other children are Donita (Virgil) Baxter of Ochelada, Okla., Jeri (Mic) Bouley of Tucson, and Nikki Lavor of Tucson. They have 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Partenheimer
50th Anniversary
Hazel E. and Karl H. Partenheimer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Feb. 2, 1946 at the First Baptist Church in Tucson. Mr. Partenheimer is employed by Marriott Food Service.
Their children are Jim Partenheimer, Edie Hurley, Edna (Jack) Watkins and the late Eddie Partenheimer. Their grandchildren are Paul and Ben Hurley, and Alycia and Joshua Watkins.
Castañeda
50th Anniversary
Juan and Aida Castañeda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 3 with a mass at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Fr. Rudy Rosales officiated. Their children Laura C. Campbell and Hector M. Castaneda stood up for their parents during the renewal of the marriage wows. A reception for family and friends followed at the parish hall.
They were married Jan. 3, 1946 in Douglas, Ariz. Mr. Castañeda retired from Levy’s Department Store and is now employed part-time at Dillard’s. Both of their children live in Tucson. Their daughter is married to Richard D. Campbell. They have 8 grandchildren.
Betts
50th Anniversary
Sydney and Robert Betts celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception at Continental Ranch Community Center given by their children for family and friends. Their grandchildren gave a program of poems, talks and music. There were 124 in attendance, 60 of whom were from out of town.
The couple was married Dec. 27, 1945 in Silver City, N.M. Mrs. Betts retired from Sears. Mr. Betts is a retired meat cutter. Their children are Robby (Linda) Betts of Gilbert, Ariz., Lanny Betts of Tucson, Kevin Betts of Grand Junction, Colo., and Becky (Larry) Greer of Oracle, Ariz.
Scala
50th Anniversary
Lucy and Dominick Scala celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Westward Look Resort with family and friends and dancing in the Italian tradition.
They were married Feb. 15, 1946 in Fairview, N.J. They ventured to Tucson for a sunny honeymoon and fell in love with the Old West. Subsequently, they chose to settle and raise their family in Tucson. Mrs. Scala is known for her gourmet Italian cooking. Mr. Scala helped build Tucson with his 40 years in the construction. Mr. Scala retired from Johnson Plastering. Mr. and Mrs. Scala have settled into a comfortable retirement.
Their five children are Andy (Kathy) Scala of Tucson, Martin (Margie) Scala of Winnemuca, Nev., Phyllis (Dennis) Finley of Anchorage, Ala., Dominick (Sharon) of Tucson, and Theresa Scala of Tucson.
They have 10 grandchildren.

50th Anniversary
Ruth and Arthur DuBach celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for family and friends at the home of their daughter, Donna Warfield, on Jan. 27. All of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were in attendance.
They were married Jan. 26, 1946 in Blue Island, Ill. Mrs. DuBach retired as a commissary cashier and Mr. DuBach is a retired aircraft buyer. Their children are Marla (John) Hock of Tucson, Donna (T.K.) Warfield of Tucson, and Mark (Dianne) Dubach of St. Helens, Ore. They have 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
McQuown
50th Anniversary
Maxine and Jack McQuown will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at The Community Presbyterian Church in Benson with a gathering of family and friends who will celebrate years past and years to come.
They were married Feb. 16, 1945 in Tucson. Mr. McQuown retired from IBM. Their children are Tom (Jan) McQuown of Mesa, Susan Crask of Willcox, Cary McQuown of Benson, and Peggy (John) Scott of Benson. They have 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Julia and Ernie Felix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 20, 1996 with family and friends at a party given by their children at the Knights of Columbus.
The were married Jan. 17, 1946 in Tucson. Mrs. Felix retired from First Interstate Bank. Mr. Felix is a disabled veteran.
Their four children are Anne Marie (Jesse) Molina of Tucson, Ernie (Anna) Felix of Tucson, Gil (Yoli) Felix of Tracy, Calif. and Bob (Deanna) Felix of Tucson. They have 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Dandurand
57th Anniversary
Marion Lucille and Gerard Levi Dandurand celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends.
They were married on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 1938 in St. Joseph’s Church, Manteno, Ill. Mrs. Dandurand is retired from the J.C. Penney Co. Mr. Dandurand retired from the Arizona State Highway Department.
Their children are Barbara Anderson, Betty (Bill) Jungen, and Tom Dandurand all of Tucson, and Jim Dandurand of Palm Harbor, Fla. They have 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Stoeckman
50th Anniversary
Georgia and Raymond Stoeckman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort hosted by their children.
They were married Jan. 6, 1946 in Tucson.
Mr. Stoeckman is semi-retired from the auto paint and body industry. Their children are Myron (Gail) Stoeckman of Tucson., Rhonda (Marv) Heinl of Glendale, Ariz., Daryl (Lesley) Stoeckman of Las Vega, Nev., and Sherri (John) Baker of Tucson. They have 7 grandchildren.
Fisher
50th Anniversary
Dr. Bernard and Judge Lillian Fisher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 23, 1995. To celebrate, the Fishers joined their children, grandchildren and a few close friends for an anniversary dinner at Olsen’s Restaurant.
The Fishers were married Dec. 22, 1945 in Brooklyn, N.Y. They moved to Tucson in 1957. Dr. Fisher is a retired dentist. Judge Fisher is a retired Superior Court judge. Their children are Marjorie (George) Cunningham of Tucson, Michael (Meryle) Fisher of Jupiter, Fla., and Ann (Robert) Segal of Las Cruces, N.M. They have 8 grandchildren.
Clure
50th Anniversary
Mary and Deo Clure Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise celebration at VFW 549 given by family and Navy Seabee Veteran members and associates.
They were married Jan. 28, 1946 in Louisville, Ken. Mr. Clure retired as Electrical Supervisor of Arizona Department of Transportation Traffic Operations.
They have one child, Deo (Karen) Clure Jr. of Tucson, two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
Swaim

Bertha and Willie Swaim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a quiet family gathering.
They were married Feb. 2, 1946 in a wedding chapel in Yuma, Ariz. by Rev. L.L. Roberts. Doris and Curtis Summers were the witnesses. Mrs. Swaim is a homemaker and Mr. Swaim is retired from the Pacific Fruit Express Co.
Their children are James (Leigh Ann) Swaim of Tucson and Deniese (Bart) Dudley of Northwood, N.D. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
