Delahanty
60th Anniversary
Lydia and Carlos Delahanty celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner and dance reception given by their children and grandchildren on Sept. 16 at the Disabled American Veterans Hall.
The native Tucsonans were married Sept. 14, 1935. Mrs. Delahanty is a retired homemaker and Mr. Delahanty is a retired teamsters truck driver.
Their 13 children are Robert (Cathy) Delahanty of Aberdeen, Wash., Roy (Archie) Delahanty of Clovis, N.M., Patrick (Carmen) Delahanty of Hollywood, Calif., Carlos Victor (Marta) Delahanty of Phoenix, Danny (Elaine) Delahanty of Sells, Ariz., and Virgina Fimbres, Rachel Delahanty, Carmen (Manny) Corrales, Walter Delahanty, Louis (Lydia) Delahanty, Fernando (Bea) Delahanty, Armando (Frances) Delehanty and Michael Delehanty of Tucson.
They have 47 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Lagneaux
50th Anniversary
Charlotte and Charles M. Lagneaux celebrated their 50th anniversary with a tour of the British Isles. Family and friends surprised them with brunch at Maxwells. They were married Oct. 16, 1945 in Duson, Lax. She is a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and Thoroughbred Nissan. Their children are Stephen (Stacy) Lagneaux of Paradise Valley; and Charles R. (Shirley) Lagneaux, Connie (Gerald “Bud’) Walters, and Jacqueline (Christopher) May all of Tucson. They have nine grandchildren.
Carlucci
60th Anniversary
Angela and John Carlucci celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an early dinner party with family and friends on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Out-of-town guests included their daughter and her husband, Marie and Lloyd Wold, and their granddaughter Kim and her husband Bruce Visser from Oregon. Their grandson Mark, his wife Katrin and great-grandson Timothy from California also attended the celebration.
A reception was given by their children and families at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Bob.
The couple was married Sept. 22, 1935 in Monessen, Penn. Arizona residents for 51 years, Mrs. Carlucci is a retired homemaker and Mr. Carlucci is retired from The City of Tucson.
Their children are Joan (Bob) Stapleton of Tucson and Marie (Lloyd) Wold of Aloha, Ore. They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchilren.
Their children and their families said, “We love you, Nanna and Pappa.’
Shelton
50th Anniversary
Doris and Worth Shelton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a large gathering of family and friends and with dinner and an evening of dancing at Nevada Smith’s.
The couple was married on Sept. 15, 1945 in Killeen, Texas when they were 16 and 17 years of age. They made Tucson their home when they moved here 43 years ago.
Now retired from fulfilling careers, the Sheltons raised a large family of six children. Their children are Barry Shelton, Lee Shelton, Darryl Shelton, Jesse Shelton, Winn Shelton and Donna Shelton-Spangle, all of Tucson.
The family grown annually. Their 10 grandchildren are Susie, Kelli, Justin, Brian, Kristi, Zan, Darla, Mandi, Nicholas and Toni. They have four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Roni, Aidan and Jared.
The Shelton’s children express their congratulations and want their parents to know how proud they are, noting that the Shelton’s “50 years of marriage is a real testimony to their love. Thanks Mom and Dad for your example, your love and your commitment to each other.’
Mosher
65th Anniversary
Onnolee and Dr. Frank Mosher celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner and family reunion at Rolling Hills Country Club on Oct. 7. A reception at First United Methodist Church followed on Oct. 8.
They were married on Sept. 19, 1930 in Syracuse, N.Y. Dr. Mosher is a retired public school administrator and college president. They moved to Tucson from Liverpool, N.Y. in 1974. Their three children are Donna (Charlie) Jacobs of Tucson, Paul (Kay) Mosher of Denver, and David (Jessie) Mosher of Atlanta. They have eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Johnson
60th Anniversary
Esther and Lloyd Johnson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 12 at the home of their daughter, Ellen Evans.
The couple was married Nov. 9 in Topeka Kansas. Mrs. Evans is a homemaker and Mr. Evans retired from farming.
Their children are Ellen (Wayne) Evans of Tucson and Leah (Harlan) Ralph of Albuquerque, N.M.
Barrett
60th Anniversary
Odell and Sherman Barrett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home with friends and families.
The couple was married Oct. 15, 1935 in Maysville, Ken. Residents of Tucson for 35 years, Mrs. Barrett retired from Amphitheater School District and Mr. Barrett retired as a contractor in Kentucky. Their children are Barbara (James) Darnell of Tucson, John Barrett of Maysville, Ky., The late Gerald (Carolyn) Barrett of Tucson. They have six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Glasgow
50th Anniversary
Mary and Dale Glasgow will celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary dining and dancing with family and friends at the Smugglers Inn on Oct. 27. They will also celebrate with an picnic and by attending Phantom of the Opera on Saturday. A luncheon will follow attending Casa Adobes Baptist Church on Sunday.
They were married Oct. 27, 1945 in Russell, Kan. Mr. Glasgow is a retired postal worker. Their children are James (Glenda) Glasgow and Michael (Jennifer) Glasgow of Lafayette, La.; Neil (Mary Sue) Glasgow of Brandon, Miss.; and Kathy Glick and Cynthia (Rocky) Ealey of Tucson. They have 11 grandchildren.
Gamboa
50th Anniversary
Julia and Peter Gamboa celebrated their 50th anniversary by renewing their vows during Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. A reception with family and friends, hosted by their children at their son Ed’s home, followed.
They were married Aug. 12, 1945 in Los Angeles, Calif.
The retired couple’s seven children are Yolanda Harvey, Ed and Anne Marie of Tucson; Bill of Victorville, Calif.; Andy of Las Vegas, Nev.; Robert of Kirkland, Wash; and Paul of Tigard, Ore. They have six grandchilren.

50th Anniversary
Della and Louis Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a reception for family and church members following the evening service at the Tucson Baptist Temple. All of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren attended the celebration.
The couple was married Oct. 1, 1945 in Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Johnson is a homemaker and Mr. Johnson is pastor, Tucson Baptist Temple.
Their children are Tom (Donna) Alquist and Frank (Lucy) Johnson of Tucson, and Joy Lou Ackerman (Steve) of Stet, Mo.
Their grandchildren are Jeffrey Alquist, Denise Bright, Tine Atkinson, Genise Zeglin, Julie Johnson, Dennis Johnson and Jenny Ackerman. Their great-grandchildren are Russel Alquist and Amber, Savannah, Sophia, Clarissa and Dahna Bright.

50th Anniversary
Mary Lou and David Harvey will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Oct. 22 at a dinner/dance celebration at Tucson Country Club. The couple married Oct. 30, 1945 in Phoenix. Mrs. Harvey retired from Tucson Unified School District in 1989 after 30 years of service. Mr. Harvey retired from Mountain Bell in 1981 after 40 years of service. Their children are Dr. Lee A. Harvey of La Jolla, Calif., who hosted the celebration, and the late Dr. Kent L. Harvey.

65th Anniversary
Mary and Joseph Gerdenics Sr. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family and friends in Lakeside, Ariz.
The couple was married Oct. 19, 1930 in New York City. Tucson residents for 55 years, Mrs. Gerdenics retired from Tucson Electric Power Co. and Mr. Gerdenics retired from Hughes Aircraft Co.
Their children are Joseph (Lenoir) Gerdenics Jr. of Lakeside, Ariz. and Roger (Mary) Gerdenics of Tucson.
Cutlip
65th Anniversary
Neva and Morris Cutlip celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a surprise luncheon at El Parador Restaurant with family and friends from Arizona, Ohio, California, Wyoming and Colorado.
The couple was married Aug. 25, 1930 in Greenock, Ky. Residents of Tucson for 44 years, Mrs. Cutlip is employed by Tucson Unified School District and Mr. Cutlip is retired from The City of Tucson.
Their children are Richard (Peggy) of Tucson, Jack (Pat) of Leona Valley, Calif., and David (Connie) of Pinedale, Wyo. They have 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

50th Anniversary
Virginia and Gaston Land celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a buffet reception with family and friends, including John Munn of Utica, N.Y., Mr. Land’s best man, and Martha O’Keefe of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Land’s bridesmaid.
The couple was married Oct. 6, 1945. Mrs. Land is a homemaker. Mr. Land retired from the U.S. Air Force and General Dynamics. Their children are Michael Land of Odessa, Texas, Monte (Col. J. Michael) Hess of Rosita, Colo., and Rebecca (Dr. Donald) Sanchez of Montrose, Colo. They have six grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
