50th Anniversary
Angela Castillo and William Wyatt Eagle celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a dinner with friends and family.
They were married Feb. 14, 1944 in Tucson where they have lived for 50 years.
Mrs. Eagle, now retired, was self-employed at Augie’s Beauty Shop. Mr. Eagle is a retiree of the Arizona Department of Employment Security.
They have two children, Christina A. Eagle of Taipei Taiwan and James P. Eagle of Tucson, and two grandchildren.
McCartney
50th Anniversary
Iris J. Luell and Wesley H. McCartney observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary with their children – all natives of Tucson – who came from “far and wide’ to join the celebration.
The McCartneys were married Feb. 8, 1945 at First Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. They have now lived in Arizona 49 years.
They have four children: Wesley Harrison McCartney, Jr. of Tucson; Thomas George of Bisbee; Nancy Jane Landrum of Tempe; and Mary Ann Sosebee of Lake Jackson, Texas.
They also have eight grandchildren.
McCarl
60th Anniversary
Frances and Dyer S. McCarl celebrated their sixty wedding anniversary with their family at their daughter’s home.
They were married Feb. 25, 1935 in Midland, Mich. and have lived in Arizona 48 years. Mrs. McCarl is a retiree from St. Mary’s Hospital and Mr. McCarl retired from Sunset Dairy after 30 years.
They have four children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Delwarte
50th Anniversary
Virginia and Charles Delwarte celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Kathy Gibson, in Tucson. It was hosted by all of their children: Kathy, Melanie Larson and Charles Delwarte Jr.
They were married Jan. 21, 1945 and have lived in Arizona 59 years. Mrs. Delwarte retired from Hughes Aircraft Company after 34 years and Mr. Delwarte retired from American Airlines after 43 years.
They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Habkirk
50th Anniversary
Dot and Ken Habkirk celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. Upon return they were greeted by relatives and friends with surprise party at the home of their daughter.
They were married Jan. 17, 1945 in Sanford, Fla. They have three children, K. Steven Habkirk, Marc Habkirk and Sue Guerriero, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Habkirk is a homemaker and Mr. Habkirk is a retiree of Michigan Bell Telephone. He also is a retired pilot.
Coco
60th Anniversary
Anthony and Madelyn Coco will celebrate their sixtieth wedding anniversary Feb. 27. They were married in Rochester, N.Y. in 1935 and moved to Tucson in 1952.
They have had three children: Tony “Billie’ of Tustin, Calif., Jo Anne of Long Beach, Calif. and Leonard of Tucson. They have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Coco was a teacher and Mr. Coco owned The Arizona Barbershop for many years.
Ray
50th Anniversary
Angelina and Gideon Ray celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children: Earnest Ray of Santa Cruz, Calif., Martha Vitolo of Tucson and Johnnie Ray of Beatty, Nev. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
They were married March 7, 1945 in Fall River, Mass. and have lived in Arizona 46 years. Mrs. Ray is a homemaker and Mr. Ray is a retiree from the U.S. Air Force.
Schacherbauer
50th Anniversary
Cleo and Harry Schacherbauer celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children for friends and relatives.
They were married Dec. 26, 1944 in Spooner, Wisc. and have lived in Arizona 50 years. Mrs. Schacherbauer is a homemaker and Mr. Schacherbauer retired from the U.S. Air Force and T.U.S.D.
They have three children: Roon Schacherbauer of Mesa, Patsy Sowers of Great Falls, Mont. and Janie Brown of Waco, Texas. They have five grandchildren.
Mountney
55th Anniversary
Ruth and Charles L. Mountney celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary with a “Celebration of Life’ party at Harrison Hills Mountain Park Clubhouse for family and winter friends. It was hosted by their daughter Carol M. Kelly. They were married Dec. 25, 1940 in Warwick, R.I. Mrs. Mountney is a retired bookeeper and Mr. Mountney is a retired auto body shop foreman.
They also have a son Robert C. Mountney of Greenville, Mich., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Holdcraft
50th Anniversary
Martha and Robert Holdcraft celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a buffet and a tiered cake, made by one of the guests, at the Good Earth Restaurant.
They were married Dec. 31, 1944 in Dunkirk, Ind. and have lived in Arizona 43 years. Mrs. Holdcraft retired from The Broadway and Mr. Holdcraft from AT&T after 35 years.
They have three children, Christopher and Jeffrey of Tucson and Stephen of San Manuel, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cosenza
50th Anniversary
Joan and Michael Cosenza celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a luncheon dance with family and friends at the Savoy Opera House.
They were married Feb. 11, 1945 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and have lived in Arizona 48 years.
Mrs. Cosenza is a homemaker and Mr. Cosenza is retired owner of the Crescent Smoke Shop.
They have three children, listed here with their spouses: Donald and Venera Crawford, Leslie and Vincenza Green and Salvatore and Kimberly Cosenza. They have four grandchildren: Hollie, David, Carrie and Daniel.

50th Anniversary
Charlotte and Robert Patt celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with an open house at their daughter’s home in Oro Valley.
They were married Jan. 1, 1945 in Windsor, Wis.
and have lived in Arizona more than 22 years.
Mrs. Patt is a homemaker and Mr. Patt retired from Hughes Aircraft.
They have four children: Robert Jr. from San Gabriel, Calif., Pamela from Geneva, N.Y., Terri from Oro Valley and John from Mesa. They also have seven grandchildren.
Lynch
50th Anniversary
Sherrie and Thomas Lynch celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows at St. Pius X Church. A brunch followed at the Lashers with family and friends.
They were married Feb. 17, 1945 in New York and moved to Tucson two years ago.
Their children are Thomas of Coram, N.Y. and David Lynch and Bonnie Abdelaziz of Tucson.
They have two grandchildren: Tommy Lunch and Kelly Abdelaziz.
